Los Angeles, California, October 10, 1991 - Plus & Plus Co. Ltd. has
started delivering a new line of media-flexible Ethernet cards, dubbed
EtherFlex. The cards combine all three major network interface standards:
Standard Ethernet (10Base5), Cheapernet (10Base2) and Twisted-Pair
Ethernet (10BaseT).

Plus & Plus' initial offer consists of four cards that are driver
compatible with commercially popular cards. These are EtherFlex-8B (NE1000
compatible), EtherFlex-16B (NE2000 compatible, EtherFlex-PLUS (WD8003
compatible) and EtherFlex-PLUS/16 (WD8013 compatible). Alteratively, a
version of the cards with only AUI and UTP ports is also available. They
can be upgraded to full EtherFlex by just plugging in two more chips. With
these, Plus & Plus expects to solve the problems faced by a LAN installer
in a multi-topology installation. The EtherFlex cards simplify both
inventory and maintenance.

Since the demand for 10BaseT equipment has surpassed that for COAX, the
Plus & Plus EtherFlex cards provide the best solution for any Ethernet
installation by being compatible with different cabling as well as popular
network drivers.
